Bill Waddlington
You can often see Bill wandering through town babbling to himself. He is usually going over ideas he has and its possibilities, looking at empty spots while babbling to himself and looking at it from all angles. He often wanders to other towns and fairs, getting ideas for his growing village.

The Maces family is one of the original founder families and has been running the kitchen supplies store for years. It hasn't always been kitchen supplies but has developed through the years. Arvey is very straight forward and likes to tell it like it is, not all of the founders are admires of Bill but she tells everyone that without him coming and changing things around they would have had to give up the store and probably move to the city, they know she’s right but some find it hard to admit that they owe that duck that much. They live in a small apartment above their shop.

Mansion 1 was the first Sylvanian building we bought. It was for our oldest daughter as a Christmas gift in 1997. Amazingly through all the play for over a decade it has kept it's charm and most parts. The other one was bought used and missing everything, by that time the original was already been used as temporary apartments.
Karoline inherited both Mansions from her grandmother. One used to be owned by her grandmother's brother but before he could gamble it away her grandmother bought it from him. After a meeting with Bill she started to rent out floors in her Mansions and that solved her financial situation and housing problems for many. Too read the full story click here.

Kitty is Bob's sister and Karoline's cousin. She left the village when she was young to explore the world. When she came back she had newborn Hope and three stray kittens with her that she had adopted and soon after she arrived, she adopted the fourth. She lived with Karoline when she returned, while looking for a home, but later this became their permanent home, Mansion 1 apartment 2. She runs the Stray Cat's Doughnut's where she sells some delicious homemade doughnuts.

The Merryweathers are one of the original founder families. When their old home burned down, Karoline offered them a temporary shelter but it became permanent with time, Mansion 1 apartment 3 has become their home.This suits Madeline very well because she doesn't like doing housework and a small home means less housework and more time for socializing. Professor Merryweather teaches at the college in neighboring town. Everyone calls him the professor and very few really know his name.

Alvin and Simon have been friends with Karoline since college, when she heard that they had not only lost their parents but had really bad luck financially she offered them to come to MV and she would help them to get back on their feet. They plan to open a male clothing store and are looking for proper housing. They are always friendly and many can't help but to smile when they meet them, they tend to have the most unusual greetings like Ahoy-Hoy, Giddyup, Splendid to see you or plain Greetings.

when Cecilia lost her husband, Edward went to Karoline to ask for an apartment and then offered his sister to live there with him and then he could help out with the kids. Cecilia kept her work as a Hostess at a really nice restaurant in the city and takes the bus there, she really loves her work and was unsure how she could keep it since the hours were long and late, who could take care of the kids after school and in the evenings whilke she was working.
Edward has their grandmother Toy shop, but his grandfather was the one that tought him to make toys and repare them. He sells the toys he makes, repairs broken toys and sells creative toys. Edward Jr loves his uncle and tries to follow him everywhere, unfortunatly he can't stand still and is all over with frequently visits to the nurse to tend to his bruises and cuts. The kids love that they have Edward to go to during the day when their mother is away and that he's home every evening helpingthe girls with their homework and tending to Edward accidents that day.

Cedric is a jolly fellow and everyone that meets him can't help it but like him. He had come to MV saying that the city was way to serious for him. Bill was very surprised when he heard that Karoline had rented him an apartment, he hadn't seemed like her type but it actually hadn't taken a long time for Cedric to convince her. They run a small gift shop in town, they can always help you to find the perfect gift.

The Hamiltons visited Mistique Valley as tourists and fell in love with the place immediately. A few months later, Huckleberry and Hilda visited the village again. They had seen an empty old building and wanted to know if it was available. They met with Bill and Peter Pettyfuir, the village accountant, to talk about the options and to have a closer look at it, to see if it could be turned into a Pizzeria. Running a Pizzeria was nothing new to them but they were tired of the big city and wanted to get out of it and this looked like everything they dreamed of. It wasn’t long until you could hear Percy and Bob at work in the old bakery and a moving van came with the Hamiltons possessions. And now Huckleberry and Hilda Hamilton own the MV Pizzeria where they sell pizzas made from their secret family recipes.
Hilda has a brother Barry Hawton in Sugarbush Valley.

Pippa has always loved to make cakes, ever since she could sit she has been putting cakes together and as soon as she finished school she opened her own Café. Ben works in the city but with growing tourism he might have to quit to help Pippa in her popular Café. They live in a cozy apartment above the Café with their four children.

Bob is probably one of the busiest critter in MV. All day he can be seen transporting. He starts the day with getting the Farmers goods to the village or markets. Helping market sellers to get their things to the market, transporting broken things to get repaired. Then he gives the tourist some fun sight seeing tours. And when the council or residents need to move things around, who do they call? Karl loves to help his dad after school and can sometime been seen doing homework sitting beside his dad. Yvette loves to be explore the countryside with her new friend Millie.

There's always been McBurrow in MV, many have moved away through the years and some have come back. It was Bergere grandfather that opened the interior shop but like all McBurrows he moved away when he retired, many wonder where they go? Bergere has worked in that shop since he could talk and inherited it after his grandfather along with the apartment above.

Even still today our friend Bill wanders, but now to meet new critters or get ideas or putting his village on tourist maps but mostly to meet critters, he believes that for his village to grow and keep growing and be that tourist paradise where critters can go back in time and enjoy the relaxed time MV can give them, it has to have different type of critters and shops/businesses. In one of his tours he met Eustace at a coffee bar, he sat in one corner looking little down so they started talking, it didn't take Bill long to know why he was so down, his business wasn't going to well, so many big companies were taking over the market and he would be forced to sell soon if he had any hope of getting out of this before too late and he didn't know what to do then or how to tell Victoria! So Bill told him that there was no furniture shop in MV and so many new residents were moving to town that one was needed. He told Eustace all about MV and what future he saw there for Eustace and his family. Eustace invited him over for dinner as he said that Bill would be much better than him to get Victoria on board and he wanted to hear more to. That evening Bill convinced Victoria that the town needed someone to lead the women comity and make sure that money was raised for the poor orphans and so on. Not long after Bill returned home, this strange couple (to village critters) came in a rented car. Village critters often wonder and make jokes about who or even what will come to MV after Bill has been away:)

Daisy Buttercup has had a dream since she was a little girl. She wanted to live in a friendly village and open an ice cream and smoothies shop, where she could talk to friendly neighbors and customers every day. Finally her dream came true, she and her family have moved to Mystique Valley. When Hornbull got an offer for his farm he didn't take long to make a decision, he would do anything for his dear Daisy. Rumour has it that he made up his mind so quickly because his two nieces were coming and he was afraid that they would demand to live on his farm.
Daisy might have gone a little overboard with decorating her shop but she wanted it just as she dreamed about it as a girl. And today she stands proud in her shop while Hornbull makes the delicious icecream for his Daisy to sell. Their home might give the impression of Hill Billy style but keep in mind they have just moved from the countryside.
