In the beautiful hills surrounding the valley are few homes and are referred as the Hills by the locals

The Buckley Family
Rupert and Agatha decided to move to MV after they visited their old friend Cameron and his family. Rupert found the village, villagers and the surroundings were not only very lovely but would be great inspiration for him. Rupert has had a great success as a writer and when not writing he can be seen around MV with his notebook. After the entire struggle before he became a best seller author he really wants to pamper his dear wife that stood beside him through all the hard years without any complains. But she wanted to get out and not be home all day so they made a beautiful new modern dress shop and to make her life easier he has hired Pansy Chestnut to come for few hours every day. They found a beautiful place up in the hills where they built a large house with everything that Agatha wanted.

The Cotton Family
The Cotton have been in MV ever since Critters can remember, they are close relatives to the Cottontail family and like them they have never been into farming but food has always been their work of life. Few generations back they built sylvanian Kitchen and are well known in the area for delicious food.

The Billabong Family
The Billabong family has just moved to MV though they are no stranger there, they come from a near by village and Matilda has been working at the Catwood mansion with cleaning and cooking. Rolf has frequently been called to do some paintwork and other urgent tasks. So when they decided to move Bill was very happy as well known he doesn't like to call for outside help. At first they were going to live in a stable but then they decided to build a small cabin up in the Hills. The kids are thrilled especially since now their parents aren't always far away working and they can reach them all of the time if needed.

The Macavity have lived in MV for some time now, Alonzo woks at a lumber factory nearby and Cassandra has a small sweet shop where she sells delicious treats. Mistoffelees and Grizabella go to a school in the town since MV doesn’t have schools for above 12.

The Cream family have for generations baked cakes for the area and the high demand for their cakes for weddings and parties outside MV is one of reason that Bill is considering if they should get a car in MV to deliver goods outside MV. Little Prelestny loves to help her parents and can most of the time be found in their cake shop, when not at school. The family is growing so they are building a large house at the moment and the family is very excited to move.
The Catwood Family
Originally this part of the Catwood owned one of the Mansions but Bob granddad gambled all his money away, Caroline grandmother was able to buy his part before it was too late and gave his wife the money to buy a smaller house up in the hills in her name so the family would have a roof over their heads. Fortunately Bob has not inherited his granddad gambling need but is a very good cabinetmaker. He loves the smell of new wood, recently he and Percy Beagle opened up a workshop in the village, critters were beginning to complain that it was hard to find them when needed so now they can drop by and leave a message for them if they are not around.

Like the Billabong Hawthorn are new in MV but unlike them they knew nothing about it before they moved. Hickery takes the bus 4 days a week to his work in town, where he's a stockbroker. Imogen likes to have everything spotles and her home is always spotless. When she's not cleaning she likes to take little Anna on a stroll and shopping.
