Buckley

 

Rupert Buckley and Cameron Moss have been friends since College; they went together to University, where they both studied Literature also where Rupert met Agatha. Rupert and Cameron kept in touch through the years Today Rupert has written many best sellers where he triggers the imagination right on the edge. Cameron has just taken a new job in small village, where he writes and runs the weekly newspaper along with running a newspaper store. Rupert wasn't surprise when he heard about this as Cameron had always liked the easy country life more than the stress in cities. Himself and Agatha stand on crossroads right now, they want out of the city and his books has given them some fortune, which was nice after all the struggle when he first started his carrier as a Writer. Agatha doesn't need to work anymore, but Rupert knows that she would not be happy just running the home and taking care of all the kids. Their home was spotless and never a thing out of place, how she managed that with 6 kids he couldn't figure out. His thoughts wandered toward his kids, Millie and her outdoor habits, Maria could usually be found swimming, Freddie always drawing, Pixie always putting up plays. Oscar and his imagination, that boy just talks all day, one night when he was putting him down, after a long “speech” Oscar said, now I've talked so much that I’m going to rest a little, 30 seconds later he was snoring, Only one that Rupert knew of that could talk himself to sleep. Then little Layla will she ever start to walk! Easiest baby he knew, always smiling but refuses to learn to walk! She was so young that she was like an unwritten book, still she might be working on that as she would draw and write all over even the tables and walls much to her mother dismay. And then the baby twins, how surprised they were when they knew they were coming an unexpected bonus he thought.

 

They decided to visit their friends the Moss family, they found that the village was indeed unusual and had so many different characters, Cameron joked about that one day Bill would one day come home with one or two criminals, to add to the variety. Rupert met Bill and talked to many of the villagers, he found Bill a funny character but admired what he had done and what he was doing, his dedication and the easy way he had with people and he suspected that many underestimate Bill. He found himself with a pencil and a note book all the time to write down all the great materials he got for new books. He and Agatha started to talk that maybe this would be great place to move to, the kids seemed happy and this was like a treasure of ideas for Rupert, the greatest concern what would Agatha do? She told him not to worry she had heard from Rowena that soon there would be a new building place where more modern shops would be and she could see herself opening a modern dress shop, then she could use her connections from her old job and she would have something to do, that is if it was ok for Rupert that she wouldn't stay home all day? The kids were thrilled when they told them what they were thinking and Millie most as there were so many great places for her to see.

 

They went to talk to Bill to make sure that Agatha could have a spot and to see what was available as their new home. Bill promised her a spot but unfortunately nothing they saw suited them as a home. Agatha said that after so many years struggling and living in a small apartment she wanted space, she wanted new modern house, she didn't want to negotiate on any of these. Bill suggested that maybe they would like to build a house. There were so many vacant spots around the village. After they had looked around Rupert came on this hill, from there he could see the village, river and the forest. This is it he thought, here I want to be.

 

Today they are so happy that they moved the twins are born and the kids are so happy specially Millie who can be out in the hills all day and Pixie is determent to get in a play so she can often be found at the Theater or at the Spotter place. Layla still refusses to learn to walk but Dr. Murdock has reassured them that there’s nothing wrong with her and that she will be walking soon.  Agatha has opened her shop and Rupert really enjoys walking around writing down ideas. They hired Beatrix Underwood to come 6 days a week and help out and things have come to a routine. Agatha goes to work in the morning and then when she gets home from the shop she like to tend to her flowers which she absolutely loves to do, luckily all she has to do is serve the dinner that Mildred made and then she likes to get everything ready for the following day for the younger kids while Rupert gives Pixie, Oscar and Layla a bath but Mildred baths the young baby twins in the morning. Rupert usually uses the day to write or can been seen around with a note book in hand but his favorite hour of the day is when he in the afternoon sits outside with cup of coffee and watches over the small ones while Mildred prepares dinner before she goes home and slowly see how their home fills with up with his family.
