Finally it was time to open Northern Light, MV retirement home. Giedion Walnut had proven to be more than helpful not only had he done all the architect work but he had known just the perfect family to join Mv in running the place. The plan had been to only open one wing to start with but when the word was out so many applied that it was clear that they would need to build at least three wings. However the last and fourth wing will wait for now. Every Wing has a large shared bathroom along with small bathroom on first floor, the big appartments have their own small bathrooms. Every wing has something shared on the ground floor, reception in one, kitchen in west and living room in east. Medical center is then coming in North wing. Main wing was suppose to be South Wing but already while building it critters started to call it Main Wing and it stuck. On top of every Wing are chairs and table and it can be a great place to invite family or frinds to when on visit.
Giedion wanted the staff to live there with their families, he said it would ad more life and that way someone would always be there and no need to hire extra night staff. This has proven to be brilliant, there are kids running around and playing, the residents feel safe and know that they can always knock at the staff door and it feels more like they are all living together than just residents and staff. Only thing missing is to find a doctor that can have a practice in the fourth wing and live there to.

The Platinum Family
Waxen had just sold his business. Silver worked as an accounted but wanted something less office kind of work. They had known Giedion for years and as Giedion knew they were thrilled over the idea and are now 50/50 owners to Northern Light with the town. Waxen takes care of everything that needs fixing around the wings inside and outside. Silver takes care of all the paperwork and is most of the time found in the lobby. She organizes voluntary schedule where residents can sign up for much appreciated different volantaire work. She sometimes feels like all she does is to sit on meetings; meetings with the town represents, schedule plans meetings, meetings with the staff and meetings with the wings presidents.

Gillian is Murdoch nurse, he told Bill that she needed a place to stay and that he would appreciate if Bill could help out. Somehow Bill didn't feel like that was request but more like a order. But this has turned out to be a blessing as for an hour after her hours at Murdoch Clinic she's available for Northern Light residents.
She lives with her two small boys in a small room but she feels it's more than she needs, every night there's warm dinner and no fuss to get breakfast ready in time. There's always someone more than willing to help her out with the boys if needed and there are enough sitting areas around if she gets company. Liam loves to wander to his neighbors and ask them to tell him a story or read a book and who could refuse such a cute face.

Basil is a Chef at Northern Light and Betty does most of the cleaning. It was Basil cousin Mike who suggested to them to apply. Basil loves his new work place, his kitchen has everything a kitchen needs to make delicious meals, during the day you can always find fruits and fresh baked treats if you get hungry on the tables. Betty can't complain either or want to she enjoys MV too much and the residents at Northern Light are so lovely.

When it was clear that the work at Northern Lights was getting to be to much and more help would be needed, Basil first talked to Mike and after being sure that he didn't want this job he asked his brother to come and see if this would be something for him, they then went together to Silver to apply.
Tom is busy all day long, helping in the kitchen, running errands around town, getting the intern mail around and making sure the living room has everything it needs. He evens cooks when Basil is off.
He's so happy that now he has a secured roof over his twins, regular meals for them and a steady work.
