Hunter-Smyth story
In one of Bill’s tours he came across a carnival just outside a city, as he walked through talking to him self, looking at the people and what they were selling or the rides they had, he saw a two men. One was selling paintings and talking to customers the other one was painting portraits of those who wanted. On the side line sttod a woman, she looked tired and big, like she was expecting. And like Bill only knows how, he got her to open up.
After he had left she couldn’t understand how that had happened, telling a stranger about their problem like that! He learnt that the two men were brothers and she was married to one of them Charles they had two children and as he expected the family was grooving. She told him that she was afraid that this time she wasn’t expecting one or two puppies and that she had no idea what they would do, at the moment they lived in very small apartment and not likely they could move to a bigger one any time soon and defiantly not in time for the puppies to arrive! The rent in the city was so high and bigger apartments hard to come by. Charles was doing ok with selling his brother paintings and they even got few on orders to deliver, but the living problems were getting to to them, so his paintings were getting darker, not so full of life as they used to be. They had both gone through art school but Charles wasn't as good and liked art history and working with selling the paintings more than actually paint them so together they made a good team.
Bill told her about this great project he was doing in his village, a street of same houses, on one side were houses that two families shared with one floor as private and on the other side one family per house, there were still two houses left and one shared building. They would be available as rent but could be bought if wanted right now or later. He told them about his dream about his village and that more and more tourist were coming to town so there would customers for the paintings. And while they were building their life up he could get Charles a job at an art gallery in town, he knew the owner and he knew that he was looking for someone, this would though mean that Charles would have to take the bus every day. He also said that he would help them to find or make a place where Charles could sell his brother paintings in MV. The nature was just there around the corner if he would like to go out in the nature to paint.
He said he would be in town for few days and where they could find them if they wanted, but he couldn’t promise that the houses would be available for long so they had to move fast if they wanted one. There were of course other possibilities, small apartments in an old mansion, few old houses in the country… You can imagine who came with the bus to MV few weeks later.
