This one all started when George and Mildred Mulberry came to MV. Bill saw them coming down the street in this very bizarre motorcycle? They introduced them self and asked Bill if there was a spot in MV where they could have their Caravan and Bill directed them to the tourist camping site but they just smiled and said that they weren't interested in that spot which made Bill little confused. So they declared that they wanted to have a permanent spot for their Caravan now that they were going to be grandparents. Which again confused Bill, he could have sworn that the Mulberry family had several kids already. After talking to Giedion they walked around looking for a spot to have a Caravan permanently on their way they walked by Forrester Real Estate where Ryan once again was explaining to some Critters that unfortunately there were no empty houses in MV at the moment but that their loving mayor was working on the problem and all he could do right now was to write them down and then contact them when things would be better. Ryan smiled to them when they passed but Bill was almost certain that there was despair look in that smile, perhaps he was just imagining it or feeling guilty. Finally they arrived at the spot Giedion had thought of, it was indeed beautiful spot. However there was no running water or electricity, would the Mulberries be satisfied with that? It would be awful expensive to drag that out here for just one couple he told Giedion. Giedion response took Bill with a surprise. What if it wasn't just one?

George and Mildred have been on the road with their Caravan ever since they got married. George was a freelance writer sending in articles about the places they've been to or things they've seen. Their oldest son Edward was mostly raised by his grandparents but Cecilia and Elma were on the roads with them but don't seem to have inherited the need to be on the move all the time. Now that all their kids are living in MV and they can feel that this life style is getting harder as they get older, they have decided to become "normal" grandparents as they say and live in MV with their grandchildren. They sold their car but bought a motorcycle with a sidecar so that they still can take on shorter trips around the area. George even proudly says that they have installed a extra bed in the caravan if a grandchild wants to stay over, but perhaps they should have installed at least two, considering they have 7 grandchildren. But at least they are trying the truth is that they have never been much of a family type but more as adventure type.

Geraldine was one of those that Ryan contacted after MV had bought three Campervans to have on the Caravan Area. Ryan is very good at reading people and had no problems with knowing who on his list would be open to live in a Caravan. Geraldine is very quiet critter and takes much pride in her kids, she's friendly but not very open, rude is a word she doesn't know. Some wonder if she comes from a very fine family but when asked where she's from her answer is very short, around and then she moves on. There was something in her eyes that touched Ryan and he knew he had to help her to find a affordable place quickly so he was so happy to be able to call her and already next day she came with her kids and has never looked back. She is in charge of the school lunch in MV, not that she cooks it but serves it and makes sure it's on time besides managing the menu for the coming week and order what needs to be ordered. Lucille is almost always seen with a book, pencil and a notebook. She loves to write reviews on books and is trying to start a book club. Boris always gets in trouble but he always seems to get out of them to and most of the time even before anyone knew there was any trouble. Little Helly is very shy and doesn't speak much, she follows her mom everywhere if she can and hates to say goodbye at the nursery in the morning.

The second family Ryan contacted was the Farthing Family, he knew how Bill hated to call for outside workers or send critters to other villages to get some work done. Harley Farthing is a mechanic and with increasing cars and machines in MV it was getting clear that one was needed.
Harley loves cars and to figure out their problems, the sound of perfect running car is like music in his ears. His 3 sons are all like him and they can drive Penny and Wren nuts with all their talks about cars, it's amazing no matter what topic Penny or Wren start on at the dinner it somehow always ends up with cars.

Grunt Family
After Ryan had talked to Harley it was clear that the whole problem hadn't been totally solved, Harley is more involved in cars than normal machines, he said he could figure out simple problems but that he was no expert. Ryan really wanted to solve this problem for MV and there weren't than many left on his list that he thoguth would like to live in the Caravan area. So again he called Ryan asked if he knew anyone that was really good with machines and might be intrested and that's when he learnt of the Grunt family. Richard was very surprised when Ryan contacted him, he had never heard of MV but was very glad when Ryan mentioned Harley.
The caravan is Constance first own home that's not temporary, even as a kid she didn't have one. She loves the color blue so already when she knew that she was going to get a home she decided she was going to have it blue and Richard suspects that some of the items she has bought she bought them just because they are blue but he's so happy for her that he doesn't mind, she never complained or argued over their constant moving around and she really deserves every blue thing she can find.

Like many other critters now residents in MV the Sunshine came there visiting relatives, the Yellowstone. Francesca Yellowstone is Arthur sister. They came driving in their fish and chip van with their Caravan behind. Arthur likes to combine his holidays with work sometimes, something Carol doesn’t like. Their fish and chips was a great hit and Ava made BFF on the very first day. The fish and chips business was up and down in their hometown and they had even talked about selling their van and try out more steady occupation. They stayed on tourist camping side but couldn't help noticing how residents in MV seemed happy and friendly, everyone knew each other by name. When it came closer to going home day, Ava refused to go something that Arthur and Carol were very surprised over, sure she didn't have many friends back home but hat will change they always thought when she would grow little older. Carol was heartbroken her family all lived back there and surely Ava loved them to? After several long evenings talking things back and forward they decided to give MV a try, it's not just Ava, Arthur would say but our fish and chips business is going very well here, if we don't try this we will eventually have to sell the van. So it was decided, they convinced Ava that she would have to go back with her mom to finish the last days of school while Carol would pack their apartment and make all the arrangements. Arthur would stay behind, get their Caravan to the resident area and start up the business in MV for real. Arthur knows this will be very difficult for Carol she has never been away from her family but it was her love for their girl that made her say yes.

Father D is a priest, he loves to travel around and spread word of god. Suzette adores her twins perhaps especially since she thinks of them as miracles, from young age she had been told she couldn't have kids due to illness. When it was time for the twins to start school she wanted to make things more stable for them. Living on the camping area in their Campingvan has turned out to be a blessing, not only does MV has it's own priest, the twins go to school and have made many friends, Suzette has a place she can call home and Father D can drive around the countryside to spread the words. Suzette would love to have more grounded home but for now she's satisfied.
Gwendolyn and Glynn love birthdays, attending other birthdays but specially their own, they plan their next birthday most of the year, Gwendolyn writes down the ideas they get and then they can talk about it for hours, if this would be great or not. The guest list is planned very carefully. Suzette always gets them new clothes for their birthdays and the only problem is that they want to wear it all year, they say it reminds them of their birthday. Father D has suggested she would get then them more "regular" clothes for their birthday but Suzette knows they would be so sad. Once Glynn wanted to have a costume party and Suzette spent weeks worrying about it, she so didn't want to have them dressed as clown and lion all year, luckily Gwendolyn wasn't all in for it and they dropped the idea. The twins save everything from their birthday even the gift wrap paper and for weeks they set it up around their campervan and can play for hours that it's their birthday party. Last time they had it at the new fancy Courtyard Restaurant and they were over the moon, only now Gwendolyn is worried about how they can top next yes or at least on same level.

On a grey day Bill was walking in one of the really nice neighborhoods in Grinpa, he didn't get to wander now as much as he wanted to when MV was growing so rapidly and had to head home later that day but wanted to use the last hours to look around. When he came around a corner he saw a big moving van and critters carrying out some real nice furniture, on the lawn stood a critter that to Bill looked like he was the owner. Bill got curious where he could be moving to and walked to him, at first it was little difficult to get him to open up but little by little Bill managed to get the story, they had a grocery store in town, a store his parents had started and was going really well but lately it had gone downhill, the big discount stores had swallowed all his customers so finally they had to close and he hadn't had any luck in finding something else to do and now the sad day had come, the bank had demanded their money, their home was up for closure, they were selling all their furniture and interior in hope to be able to pay up their creditors. Perkin was very surprised that he actually told this to a total stranger. Bill mumbled to himself, "so back to basics" and Perkin wasn't sure he heard him right. Then asked him where Bill came from so Bill told him about MV and like always he forgot himself as this was his favorite topic, when he stopped and looked at Perkin he could see some hope in Perkin eyes and felt bad and finished with that they were struggling with building enough houses and that there were no rental apartments available or anything else, that they at the moment had made a Caravan area for Critters to live on as a temporary solution and even there all the caravans were rented out.
Around two weeks after Bill came home Perkin came through the door at the Town Hall, When he saw Bill he smiled wide. "Thank god we are at the right place, this sure isn't easy to find" and shook Bill's wing. It turns out that after selling everything and paying everyone there was just enough left to buy a caravan and he had convinced his family that this would be a new start and Back to Basics had become his motto. His biggest concerns were his parents though, they had lived with them in Grinpa and were living at his uncle at the moment but Bill had mentioned a retirement home? Boy was he glad when Bill could tell him that there was indeed a new retirement home and that there were still small apartments left. Bill went outside with Perkin where his new campervan stood and the rest of his family was stretching their legs. They all looked tired but glad that the journey was finally over.
Today Perkin and Dorothy sell fresh juice at the market and Perkin has taken on to be the Camping Area care taker, Bill finds it most important to have a care taker on each area that lives there. Zara still remembers their big house and life style in Grinpa but when she's telling her friends about it they sometime wonder if some of it is make believe it just sounds too grand.

It was on a sunny day and Ryan had just opened his shop and was enjoying his coffee when this lady stormed in. She announced that she was moving to MV and she wanted to look at the homes that were available. Ryan chocking on his coffee tried politely to explain that there were no available at the moment but there would be in some time and he could be in touch when they were ready. The lady told him that wasn't good enough she was moving NOW, leaving Ryan still with his cup in hand. Two days later she stormed in again telling him that she now was temporary living on the Camping area but he better contact her when real homes were available.
The residents at the camping area were also surprised when this yellow camping van came swerving into the area, for a while they weren't sure if it would make it and if it was to late to run for cover, it was obviously driven by an erratic driver. Just the day before she had visited the area, asking around and here she was. They quickly became used to her and that everything had to happen now and not a minute later, when you get to know her you find out that she means well. her girls are friendly and are quickly making friends in MV. She got job as assistance at Agatha Buckley dress shop and is very professionally and will honestly tell you if dress doesn't look good on you, something that the customers at first were surprised over but really appreciate it specially when she finds them a dress that looks great on them.
