Bill was in one of his trips, almost all of the new shop buildings on Blackurrant Avenue were now done and only some minor things left on the apartments above them. Most of them already had owners but not all. He would like to find something different for the last one. As he was walking he saw a Critter with her hands full with large bags of pet food. She shouldn't be carrying that she looks like she's expecting, Bill thought. Why would she do that he wondered and with quick steps walked to her and offered his help. No no its fine the lady said, nonsense said Bill and took two of the bags, and he had been right they were very heavy. Where off he asked, just around the corner where i work, she replied and off they went in silence. Soon Bill tried to break that silence but she kind of brushed him of, strange Bill thought, I don't think I'm doing anything wrong here? When they arrived at the shop they laid the bags behind the counter, why would she carry pet food into a clothing shop, Bill wondered but before he could ask she said thank you and have a nice day. On his way out he saw another Critter coming in, looked like he could be her husband. Even before his foot was in she was on him, not shouting but didn't sound happy at all. Told him that he couldn't do this to her anymore she had to take help from strangers to get his pet food before closing time and he needed to find homes for these pets preferable tonight there was no more room and the twins would be coming soon and where should they sleep, in the dogs beds? Bill went outside but waited a bid he was curious. When the husband came out carrying the bags again Bill offered his help and again didn't listen to the no thank you but this time he only took one bag, he knew how heavy they were. This time he found out that Hugo was a vet. They lived in a apartment and he had a small office downstairs but mainly he worked for the farmers around town. His problem was that every time he came across a homeless pet he would bring it home. Her confessed that his wife Savannah was right that they were about to be over run but what could he do just leave them on the street?

After a good night sleep Bill went by the shop Savannah worked and asked if she and her husband could meet him later that he might have a solution to their problem. That evening he old them about MV, and asked if they had ever considered opening a pet shop? Also currently there was no vet in MV and the farmers and pet owners had to travel or call for a vet from another village.

Needless to say Hugo is now the MV vet and with help from Savannah runs a pet shop so now when he finds a homeless pet he can bring it to the shop and find a new owner. Nellie is thrilled like her father she loves all animals and if you need to find her, you try the shop before going to her home.
