Beechwood lane was Giedion proposition, The information/request he got from Bill was that solution for 10-15 families was needed, many small new families,  tight budget, not very high buildings, one small street and little time. Few days after the phone call from Bill, Giedion came to MV to meet with Bill and Peter. Giedion knew MV very well his brother Cedric lived there with his family and they had taken many walks around the area. He had helped with Cedar Lane and few smaller projects in MV. He felt that there were so many small houses in MV and that bigger houses were needed to attract wealthier families but the budget was tight and there was talk about a need for retirement home, something that he had an idea on and would love to be involved with. After some thought and lay outs he was ready with his proposition which included seven large houses, three on each side and one at the bottom that lead to the beach. To safe expensive and time 6 of them would all be the same and even the layouts inside like where the bathroom and kitchen would be, only optional would be on second floor where you could divide one large room in two if wanted. Three of those would be offered for sale, and three would be rented out but as rooms and then shared kitchen, bathroom and living area. Those three would all have the same layout inside and same furniture to save expensive and time. There would be one small room, one double room and one large room, this way it could meet different needs and house three families. The one on the end would be different but also just for rent to start with and it would be aimed for artists to give MV some more culture and attraction, it would have three rooms and a space to draw have small concert or practice beside the shared areas. Later on when the need for small housing would be less the houses could be sold or rented out as bigger homes.
